Hi, I’m Chelsea, the artist behind The Oddest Owl—a creative force fueled by color, chaos, and pure joy. I create dynamic, abstract art that’s bold, layered, and often wildly colorful, designed to uplift your space and spark something inside you.

When you visit my site or see my work, I want you to feel energized, encouraged, and drawn in—like you need a piece of this vibrant energy in your life. My goal? For you to feel so connected to a piece that owning it becomes a must, not a maybe.

My Art Journey

Art has always been a part of me. I was born into a creative family—my dad loved woodworking, my Nonni could do anything with her hands, my mom arranged flowers beautifully, and my stepmom paints with incredible grace. Creativity was in the air I breathed. Even as a kid, I spent my free time painting, crafting, and imagining. But I always had this burning desire to go professional—to live and breathe art, and to share it with the world. In 2017, I made that dream real and began showing and selling my work, building a life centered around creativity, connection, and color.

My Creative Process

Each piece I create starts with a spark—a feeling, an image that haunts me until I bring it to life. I rarely plan every detail, but I always challenge myself to try something new. Maybe I won’t use any paintbrushes. Maybe I’ll layer in unexpected materials. I play with acrylics, oils, watercolors, uv reactive pigments, glow in the dark paints, collage, and glitter—yes, I’ve been known to toss glitter in the air just to watch it rain down in my studio. My process is about movement—dancing, splattering, layering—and finding joy in the mess. It’s a dance of creation, and every piece is a celebration of making something out of nothing.

Why I Do This

Being an artist lights me up in a way nothing else does. The flow, the freedom, the connection—I live for it. And when I send my work out into the world and hear how it transforms someone’s space or energy?

That’s everything.

As a single mom, I’m building a life for my family through creativity... by following my dreams. In February 2025, I was able to create my first art studio—a space where art, laughter, and glitter collide... and I am forever grateful for it.

People often ask me about the name. Honestly, I’m a little odd, and I love owls—it’s that simple. Owls are wise, unique, and a little mysterious—just like the kind of art I aim to create. The Oddest Owl felt like the perfect name for a business that celebrates individuality, creativity, and finding beauty in the unexpected.
